What are you into?
What groups and extra-curricular activities are you interested in? What do you do on the weekends? Do you enjoy group projects better when you’re the team leader or do you prefer working solo?
If you’re struggling with the decisions you have to make as you try to figure out what you want to do with your life, it’s possible you’re over thinking it.
Step back for a minute and see if your actual daily life might give you some clues into what you want to do for the rest of your life.
If you spend all day doodling and everyone’s always going on and on about your stuff, you could be a video game designer or a tattoo artist. An architect or a graphic designer.
If you always take the lead during group projects, that’s a management skill.
If you’re interested in debates, maybe your future’s in law or politics.
If you love being up late at night when everyone else is asleep, maybe shift work would be great for you . . . or perhaps you could become a vampire.
The point is, the first step to figuring out what you want to do with your life is to figure out what you’re passionate about now.
Your goal should be to do something you enjoy and that you’re interested in because it’s true what they say—if you do something you love, you never work a day in your life.
What are you into? How could you turn it into a career? Let your imagination run wild!
